Collection Schedule

Service Days

Sunday through Thursday

Collection Begins

After 6:00 PM

No Collection

Friday and Saturday

Important Reminder: Trash bins should be placed outside your apartment door no later than 6:00 PM on service nights.

Section 02

Approved Collection Containers

Accepted

  • Porter-approved valet trash container
  • Tied trash bags that fit inside the container
  • Securely closed bags to prevent leaks and odors
  • 2 bag maximum, 25lb per bag

Not Accepted

  • Loose trash
  • Open bags
  • Overflowing containers
  • Hazardous materials
  • Construction debris
  • Paint, chemicals, batteries, or liquids

Preparing Your Trash

Best Practices

  • Tie all trash bags securely
  • Place bags completely inside your container
  • Ensure containers are accessible
  • Remove containers after collection
  • Prevent liquid leaks

Bulk Item Removal Requests

Need to dispose of a larger item? Residents may submit a Bulk Item Removal Request directly through Porter Connect.

  • Large household items

Before submitting

  • Request approval through Porter Connect
  • Wait for confirmation
  • Place approved items outside by 6:00 PM on the scheduled date
