Collection Schedule
Service Days
Sunday through Thursday
Collection Begins
After 6:00 PM
No Collection
Friday and Saturday
Important Reminder: Trash bins should be placed outside your apartment door no later than 6:00 PM on service nights.
Section 02
Approved Collection Containers
Accepted
- Porter-approved valet trash container
- Tied trash bags that fit inside the container
- Securely closed bags to prevent leaks and odors
- 2 bag maximum, 25lb per bag
- Cardboard boxes that are completely broken down and flattened
Not Accepted
- Loose trash
- Open bags
- Overflowing containers
- Hazardous materials
- Construction debris
- Paint, chemicals, batteries, or liquids
- Unbroken-down, assembled, or oversized cardboard boxes
Section 03
Preparing Your Trash
Best Practices
- Tie all trash bags securely
- Place bags completely inside your container
- Ensure containers are accessible
- Remove containers after collection
- Prevent liquid leaks
- Completely empty and flatten all cardboard boxes before placing them outside for collection
- Remove Styrofoam, plastic wrap, packing materials, and other contents from boxes
- Place flattened cardboard neatly beside the Porter-approved container
Cardboard Reminder: Cardboard must be completely empty, broken down, and flattened. Unflattened boxes or boxes containing trash, Styrofoam, plastic wrap, liquids, or packing materials will not be collected.

Bulk Item Removal Requests
Need to dispose of a larger item? Residents may submit a Bulk Item Removal Request directly through Porter Connect.

- Large household items
Before submitting
- Request approval through Porter Connect
- Wait for confirmation
- Place approved items outside by 6:00 PM on the scheduled date
